I’m apparently woeful at managing my money. In August, September AND October, I’ve somehow managed to overspend. That’s absolutely ridiculous.
November’s plan is this: pre-plan my lunch every single day, don’t buy food anywhere but in the weekly shop, and plan the weekly shop to only cover actual requirements.
Since I won’t have to feed my other half for at least 15 (up to 19) of those days, that’s a bit of a saving.
The weekly shop: analyse what’s in the freezer and work through it properly. Buy big packets and freeze in portion sizes. Plan each meal, no matter how annoying.
Also: no booze until the last weekend. We’ll have to see how that goes.
