I’ve had a breakthrough today in my writing – Phase Outlining has actually restored the enthusiasm I’d lost in my detailed planning. I am now raring to go on the NaNo project, as well as another.
This energy boost probably won’t last – but getting 3k out of me in planning is an impressive feat – and just translating that into roughly 300 words per ‘phase’ will net me 78k in the draft! If I can replicate this on my NaNo prep projects, I will be seriously happy about my prospects in November.
Then there’s the planned reward I spotted on a NaNo forum – printing a copy of the finished manuscript (unedited but formatted) for keeps. I will still need to get 2015’s printed first, so it may be the new year before I get done.
