NaNoWriMo 2016 – Day 9

08:38 – Oops, I did it again! I managed a single phase yesterday though, so it’s not complete stagnation. I’ve begun to get a grip on this stupid arrangement whereby I’m shattered when I get home and have a boatload to do so complete none of it… Though I also ‘relaxed’ last night by watching US election coverage. Bad move, especially given the faintly terrifying result this morning.

Taking it one day at a time, now – and one piece of housework.

10:25 – I’ve done 1400 words so far, and I finally feel enthusiastic again. Pretty sure the lack of will to write the next specified phases contributed to my terrible two days.

Also, shout out to Zoe, who is cheering me on and generally giving me motivation, when she isn’t inspiring yet more ideas (d’oh!).

On to the next one!

11:42 – one more down. If I do this right, I’ll get five done while in the office, and five more at home. I’m well on my way 😀

Total word count now up to 16,560. Challenge: hit 20k today.

12:36 – four done, so today’s count is over 2.5k so far. I’m cautiously optimistic about hitting 20k, since I need a maximum of 6 phases to get there; probably less at the rate I’m going.
